This appears to be an game that have won many awards, for having a good story and a focused design - "Less is more". Using Chrome's "Native Client", they are able to run high end codes through the browser.
According to the post on Avault, the developer promised this will not be a watered down version.

The Chrome version of Bastion requires:
- Processor: 1.7 GHz Dual Core or Greater
- Memory: 2 GB
- Hard Disk Space: 1.0 GB
- Video Card: 512 MB graphics card (shader model 2)
(Note: Gamepad controllers are not supported in this initial release.)
