Battle of Ia Drang Valley - Day 2. http://www.facebook.com/events.php?ref=sb#/event.php?eid=215242587162&index=1 The movie 'We Were Soldiers' starring Mel Gibson based on the book 'We were soldiers once, and young' recounted the events of this battle as the US Army's fought its first pitched battle in Vietnam against the NVA and VC. We completed The Battle of Ia Drang Valley - Day 1 on 6th Dec 2009. Day 2 is scheduled for 17th Jan 2010 and will attempt to recreate the second day of this epic battle. _________________________________________________________ Scenario Paintball is totally different from the usual paintball games you have played in Singapore. The Wargh!Zone is set amidst natural terrain and forest with bunkers and unlike paintball places in Singapore, there is no middle line dividing each half of the battlefield thus allowing for flanking maneuvers and ambushes along the trails. How to get to Pasir Ris Park Native Lawn CarPark C. -map as provided by Ian, in the forums. -directions as provided by Houdini, in the forums. By Train The nearest Train station is Pasir Ris Station. 10-15 minutes walk into the park into Area 2 via entrance located at the traffic stop opposite the bus interchange From the station, you may take SBS 403 from Pasir Ris bus interchange and alight at the stop after the round about (probably a waste of time taking bus) By Car Head towards White Sands/Pasir Ris MRT or Pasir Ris Bus Interchange. Take the road leading into the park called Pasir Ris Park Green (Off Pasir Ris Drive 3/Pasir Ris Central) - Opposite Bus Interchange and park in Car Park C - this is where the Gallop Stables are.
